Specialty latte: $5.80 for a 12 oz “CandyCane Forest” (peppermint mocha) – 9/10
Black coffee: $4.50 for a 12 oz pour over – 7/10
Vibe: 8/10
Overall: 8.3/10
For the specialty latte, I ordered the “Candy Cane Forest” (with dairy milk) which is their peppermint mocha. It was nice and hot, perfectly foamy, and had the right amount of sweetness. All their syrups are house-made and completely delicious. The pour over coffee was good, nice and smooth.
I like the urban, exposed-brick vibe of Wooden Robot, and I love that they have a patio. On nice weather days, they open up the garage door and it feels very open and airy. It’s decorated simply, letting the setting speak for itself. There’s lots of natural light, which I love.
Wooden Robot has a full menu, and they serve breakfast items in the morning. There’s plenty to choose from!
Parking is… okay I guess. Wooden Robot is in the heart of South End, so there’s lots of street parking options nearby, you just may have to park a little far.
I’m not sure I’d recommend Wooden Robot as a place to work remotely. Though there’s PLENTY of seating, it’s often crowded and doesn’t seem like the space to focus.
Overall, Wooden Robot is a great place to get delicious drinks — and not just beer! It’s perfect for meeting up with friends and trying something new.
