  • Specialty latte: $5.20 for a 12oz “Sumaq Latte” (brown sugar cinnamon) – 10/10

  • Black coffee: $5 for a 16 oz drip – 6/10

  • Vibe: 7/10

  • Overall: 7.7/10

For the specialty latte, I ordered their “Sumaq Latte” (with almond milk) which is flavored with brown sugar and cinnamon. It was divine. It was hot, foamy, and it was the perfect level of sweetness. The cinnamon flavor really came through without being overwhelming. I would absolutely order it again. The drip coffee was good, fairly standard and not too acidic.

Once you step inside Sumaq, you forget all about the busy road from outside. There’s artificial greenery, including a huge tree, everywhere in the space which adds some much needed color. Everything is really open and bathed in natural light, which complements the natural wood of the seating and accents. It’s missing a bit of warmth, but it has some personality. They do have a nice patio, just without stunning views.

Sumaq has a full menu of sandwiches, pastries, and sweets. It’s not too large or overwhelming, but there’s plenty of options for different tastes. Don’t miss out on the Wasi House sandwich served with a red pepper sauce.

There’s plenty of parking at Sumaq! There aren’t street spots as it’s located right on South Boulevard, but there’s a designated lot for patrons.

The remote work space is ideal at Sumaq – there are lots of spaces to sit and plenty of outlets to plug devices into. The WiFi is strong, too.

Overall, you can expect flavorful and high-quality drinks at Sumaq, and you can also expect to be able to get some work done – or just have a coffee with friends!
