  • Specialty latte: $8.00 for a 12oz “Rose Hips Don’t Lie” latte – 7/10

  • Black coffee: $4.00 for a 12oz drip – 7/10

  • Vibe: 9/10

  • Overall: 7.7/10

For the specialty latte, I ordered a 12oz “rose hips don’t lie” (with almond milk), which features rose hips, cardamom, and saffron. It was super unique, hot, and foamy. It was nice and spice-forward, and I got a lot of that rich cardamom flavor. The first sip was a bit surprising because of how different it was, but it quickly grew on me. The drip coffee was pretty good, but they have tons of various roasts and blends with different tasting notes that would be even more fun.

The ambiance is lovely here. Inside, it’s ultra-modern with a sharp black and white contrast. The coffee bar is in the middle of the shop, which I kind of love. On one side, there’s stadium-style seating, and on the other, traditional tables. I like how the space is varied – it’s kind of funky. The patio is spacious, some seats with tables, some seats without. There are plenty of spots to choose from, and you can’t go wrong.

Alongside their drinks, Hex offers Asian-inspired breakfast and lunch options, including breakfast sandwiches, musubi, and curry.

Hex is located in Camp North End, so there’s plenty of parking options just a short walk away.

If you can snag a table, I think Hex would be a great place to get some work done.

Overall, there’s a lot that makes Hex unique, and I love that about it. It’s a great place to try different types of coffee and sit and enjoy the weather.
